Ode to the Lip Plumper

Well, at the suggestion of Beth Moore's blog, I thought I'd try some lip plumper. I don't know why I decided to do that....maybe just because I thought, "well, if Beth Moore's using it, then it has to be some great stuff." Hmmmmm.


Anyhow, I went to one of my favorite little cosmetics stores, Ulta, yesterday and bought me some along with some hot wax and eyebrow stencils. Through my mother's genes, I've been blessed with some massive eyebrows which little by little I'm trying to get into shape. Hence the stencils and wax.


So, I purchased Sally Hansen's Lip Inflation Extreme. Let me just say, that is some powerful stuff. It felt like I'd just rubbed a whole box of Red Hots on my lips. I looked in the mirror expecting that it looked like that too as bad as it tingled. But it was just a pretty little shade of "Sheer Bare." The tingling wore off after five minutes or so, and I'll declare, I believe it did plump them up a little. Not a lot....but a little. The box says, "the biggest, sexiest lips possible without the time and expense of a doctor's visit." Isn't that what we all want??

Unfortunately, the hubby didn't notice when he got home from work. Maybe he was too distracted by my perfectly groomed eyebrows.
